Male Athlete of the Week - Keane Thomann

Thomann helped the Lions to two big wins this week, including a double-overtime win against Pitt State and a needed win on the road at Emporia State. Against Pitt, Thomann played 47 of the 50 minutes in the game and scored 27 points, pulling down 10 rebounds. The senior from Olney, Ill., went 13-22 from the field and had two blocks and two steals.

At Emporia, Thomann scored 28 of the Lions' 61 points in the game and went 10-21 from the field and 8-12 from the free-throw line. He added 14 rebounds and another two blocks and steals in 37 minutes of play. In both games, Thomann played all but six minutes total this week. He also moved into seventh-place all-time on the Lions' scoring list, passing Matt Olson. Thomann now has 1,416 career points.

For the week, Thomann averaged 27.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while shooting 54 percent from the field and averaging 42 minutes per game. He was named the MIAA's men's basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season for the effort.
