In Junior College: Played one year each at Chaffey (Calif.) and NEO A&M College before coming to Missouri Southern ... at NEO, Taylor hit .411 in 39 games with 11 doubles, nine homers and 55 RBI ... also was a gold glove winner at second base and a second-team all-region selection.
