2012 - Kolkmeyer made the switch to the outfield in 2012 ... he started in 44 of the 47 games played in, hitting .279 on the season ... he had three home runs and 34 RBIs, while finishing second on the team with 12 doubles ... he added a triple and was a perfect 6-6 on the basepaths ... he had four outfield assists ... He had a memorable game with six RBIs against Truman on March 4 ... that game he hit two home runs.
2011 - A second-team All-MIAA pick, Kolkmeyer led the Lions in hitting for most of the season and finished with a .386 batting average ranking sixth in the MIAA in that category ... He moved to the outfield at the start of the season, but ended up back at second base where he settled in for the remainder of the season ... despite missing eight games to a concussion, Kolkmeyer still finished second on the team with 59 hits, and tied for third with 32 RBIs ... he had one of his best games in the series finale against Washburn where he went 4-4 with three runs scored and five RBIs with a homer ... on the season, he had 19 multiple hit games.
2010 - As a freshman, Dane saw action in 39 games hitting .280 with 15 RBI and five extra base hits (four doubles and a triple). Dane was also 7-8 stealing bases. Saw action at second base and finished with a .949 fielding percentage
In High School- Dane was a two-sport star at Joplin High School. Under Coach Kirk Harryman, Kolkmeyer led the Eagles to a District Championship in 2009 while hitting .442 with four dingers, 18 RBI, and 37 runs scored out of the leadoff spot en route to earning spots on the Joplin Globe's All-Area and the All-Conference 1st Team. Perhaps better known were his exploits on the gridiron, where under the coaching of Doug Buckmaster he broke four state receiving records as a junior earning an All-State nod.
Personal- Born on October 24, 1990 in Joplin, Mo... Dane is the son of David and DeAnn Kolkmeyer... Undecided on a major at Southern.
