Football adds junior college quarterback to 2013 roster

Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern football coach Daryl Daye has announced the addition of Detavis Buggs to his list of recruits for the 2013 football season. 

Buggs is a 6-1, 215 pound quarterback that comes to Southern from Eastern Arizona College. Prior to Eastern Arizona, the Pine Mountain, Georgia native prepped at Harris County High School where he was a four-year letter winner on the football team. He also lettered four years in track and field and three years in basketball.

As a junior, he was his team's Offensive Player of the Year, as well as being named All-Conference and All-City. As a senior he was a Dandy Dozen selection, as well as picking up All-Conference and All-City honors. 

The son of Charlie and Brenda Buggs, Detavis is undecided on his future major at Southern.
