2014 - Taylor started all 11 games for the Lions... Finished the season with 80 tackles, including 30 solo tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and four pass break ups... Recorded 10 tackles against Northwest Missouri and Fort Hays State... Received All-MIAA Honorable Mention.

2013 - Earned All-MIAA honorable mention honors after starting all 10 games for the Lions at linebacker as a junior finishing fifth on the team with 47 total tackles, 25 solo...Ranked second on the defense with 7.0 tackles for a loss of 26 yards while recording two sacks for a loss of 13 yards...Also broke up a pass and recovered a fumble...Notched a season-high seven tackles at Southwest Baptist and South Dakota School of Mines along with posting six stops in Southern's season-opening win at home over Central Oklahoma.

Prior to Southern - Taylor played junior college football at Holmes Community College in Mississippi, where he was an All-State, All-Region and all-conference selection at linebacker … A 2011 graduate of Grenada High School, Taylor was named the Best Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
