2011-12: Appeared in 15 games averaging 5.6 minutes per game as a freshman....averaged 1.9 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game...Hit 11 of 21 shots from the field on the year which was good for a .524 shooting percentage....was three for eight on three-pointers....had a sesason-high eight points in six minutes in a 88-47 win over Avila (Mo.)...

Prior to Southern: Smith played for coach Ed Fritz at Blue Valley Northwest High School ... a four-year starter for the Huskies, Smith averaged 12.1 points, eight assists and four rebounds while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and helping his team to a second place finish in the state of Kansas as a junior ... a two-time All-Conference selection, Smith helped his team to a sub-state championship in each of the last three seasons, while being named to the All-Tournament Team at both the Jim Draper and McPherson Tournaments.
