Men's track qualifies six for 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships
Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team has qualified six individuals in six different events for the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, NC.
The event will take place on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University over May 27-29.
Both Jordan Patton and Brennan Benkert have qualified in multiple events as Patton will race in the 100m dash and run leg two of the 4x100m relay. Benkert has qualified in both the 1,500 meters and the 10k. Benkert's school record time of 3:47.27 in the 1,500m ranks sixth nationally.
Also qualifying as part of the 4x100m relay team will be Maurlon Bembry, Jacob Khan, Andrew Wright and Kevin Wright. James Coleman's distance of 53.27 meters ranks him seventh as he'll compete in the discus.
