2010-11: Indoor: Competed in the shot put... placed 1st at the MSSU Radio Shack Open Invite with a season best throw of 16.16m... at the MIAA Indoor Championships, placed 5th in the shot put with a throw of 15. 77m.
2009-10: Indoor: Placed 6th at the Razorback Invitational in the shotput with a throw of 14.81m... had a season best throw in the shot of 15.29 at the MIAA Championships, placing 11th.; Outdoor: Competed in the shot put and discus throw... Won the discus with a throw of 50.26m at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invite... Had a season best in both the shot put and discus at the MIAA Outdoor Championships. Placed 5th in the shot put with 16.36m, and was runner-up in the discus with a provisional throw of 53.72m, gaining a bid to the NCAA DII National Championships in Charlotte, NC... At the National Championships, Coleman was runner-up in the discus with a throw of 52.54m, earning All-American status.

In high school: A three time All-Suburban South Conference Champion in the discus and holds the school record in the event with a distance of 184 feet, one inch. On the football field, He was an All-Conference selection at tackle on both sides of the ball and finished his career with 50 solo tackles, five forced fumbles and five sacks.
