2010-11: Indoor: Competed in the shot put and weight throw... Had a season best throw in the shot put at the Fazolis/Baymont Inn Invite, placing 5th with a throw of 15.07m... At the Radioshack Open Invite, threw 15.22m in the weight throw for a 3rd place finish and season best... Competed in the weight throw and shot put at the MIAA Indoor Championships, placing 13th and 9th, respectively.

At Iowa Central CC - A three-time All-American at Iowa Central, he holds the school record in both the indoor shot (49-3) and the discus (158-4).

In High School - At Monona Grove High, Grosso was a first-team All-State selection in both 2007-08, while taking home five different conference championships in his tenure. He was a state finalist in both 2007-08 and holds the Madison Memorial Stadium record for the discus at 180-5.
