Lincoln, Neb. -- Missouri Southern senior Corey Reynolds placed second and earned a provisional in the high jump as the Lions competed in day two of the University of Nebraska/Holiday Inn Invite today in Lincoln.
Reynolds jumped to a height of 6-10.25, a half inch off of his personal best, en route to a second place finish and an NCAA provisional mark in the event. Seth Matlock and Clark Tanksley placed ninth and tenth in the high jump.
Michael Juergens and Raymond Woldtvedt placed fifth and sixth, respectively in the pole vault with heights of 15-1.00 and 14-7.25. Jazz Allen was sixth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.42, while Ricardo Greer was 14th in the event. Brandon Weaver and Greer placed 21st and 28th in the 600 yard, while Zach Reese was 21st and Jacob Khan 29th in the 400m.
Nick Grosso placed 13th in the shot put with a distance of 44 feet, four inches, while the Lions' 4x400 meter relay team of Tanksley, Reese, Allen and Weaver placed 14th with a time of 3:28.47.
Southern will be back in action next weekend with a split squad of athletes competing at both Iowa State and Central Missouri.
