Prior to Southern - Kramer attended Lindbergh High School and ran for coach Jim Petersen. A four-year letterwinner on both the track and cross country squads, Kramer helped his track team to a district championship in 2009 and the cross country team to a district title in 2010. He was an All-Conference selection in the 4x800m, two mile, mile and All-district in the mile, two mile and 4x800m. He was also an All-Sectional selection in the two mile. In cross country, he was an All-District, All-Conference and All-Sectional runner in 2008 and 2010. Also a wrestler and a member of the soccer team at LHS.

Personal: Kramer intends to major in special education at Southern and is the son of Terrence and Janice Kramer.
