Men's track splits athletes at Iowa State and Arkansas

Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team took athletes to both Iowa State and the University of Arkansas tonight. 

A group of distance runners competed at the meet where Andrew Webster was 22nd in the mile, while Alex Mason and Colton Wooldridge placed 36th and 38th in the event. Wooldridge, Mason and Webster placed 14th, 15th and 17th in the 3k, while Eric Schott and Jake Benton were 13th and 29th in the 5k, respectively. 

At the Tyson Invitational on the campus of the University of Arkansas, Clark Tanksley earned a provisional in the high jump with a third place finish at 6-9. Taylor McClelland, Darion Boure, and Jayce Thomas placed 7th, 8th and 13th in the long jump with McClelland just missing a provisional distance. Tanksley also placed 18th in the event. 

Dustin Green and Seth Hackney both earned provisionals in the championship section of the shot put, placing 4th and 5th, respectively. 

The Lions will finish up action in both meets tomorrow.
