Jayce Thomas in fourth place after day one of the MIAA Heptathlon

Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern freshman Jayce Thomas is in fourth place after day one of the 2012 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Heptathlon. 

Thomas finished the day on a high note, as he won the high jump with a height of 6-7. Thomas was third in the long jump with a distance of 22-1, but finished ninth in the 60m (7.56) and tenth in the shot (29-00). 

Thomas will finish up the heptathlon tomorrow with the pole vault, 60m hurdles and the 1000m.
