23rd ranked men's track plays host to MSSU Lion Invite

Joplin, Mo. -- The 23rd ranked Missouri Souther men's track and field team will play host to the MSSU Lion Invite tomorrow and Saturday at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center. 

The meet will consist of a heptathlon and pentathlon in the first session on Friday beginning at 9 am. The field events for the meet will get underway at 2:30 pm, while the running events for Friday will begin at 5 pm. Day two will consist of the final three events of the men's heptathlon beginning at 9 am and the rest of the meet's final day starting at 10:30 am. 

Jeff Fraley comes into the event ranked 7th in Division II in the 60m with a best of 6.80, while ranking 8th in the 200m with a time of 21.58. Jazz Allen ranks 31st in the 60m hurdles, while Jayce Thomas is 16th in the high jump with a best of 6-8.25.

Michael Juergens ranks seventh in the pole vault with a height of 16-1.25, while Darion Boure ranks seventh in the triple jump, earning a best of 49-5. 

Dustin Green leads a trio of shot putters in the top 28th nationally as he ranks 12th in Division II with a toss of 53-11.25. Evan Moore is 18th, while Seth Hackney ranks 28th. Moore ranks 24th in the weight throw as well.
