2012: The top runner for the Lions in six of Southern's seven races, Schott was both a All-MIAA selection after taking 3rd at the MIAA Championships where he ran the 8k course in 25:32.79 and All-Central Region where he took 5th running 30:27.3 over the 8k course at the Central Regional Championships...Was the Lions top finisher at the NCAA Championships finishing 44th overall in 30:33.30...Finished third at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite where he helped the Lions take home the team title finishing the 8k course in 25:01.71...Finished 3rd at the Southern Stampede helping the Lions finish second as a team finishing the 8k course 25:08.35.
2011: One of the Lions top runners, Schott was a All-MIAA selection after taking 9th at the MIAA Championships where he ran the 8k course in 24:33.38....took 22nd at the South Central Regional Championships earning All-Region honors covering the 10k course in a time of 32:30.20...helped lead the Lions to the team title at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite taking 2nd, covering the 5-mile course in 25:29...took 2nd at the MSSU/PSU Dua ....was named to the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team
Prior to Southern: Schott attended Central High School and ran for coaches Mark Hahn and Ryan Hale. A four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track, Schott holds the school record in the 5k with a time of 16:12, and has been a three-time All-Conference, and All-District selection, while being named All-Sectional once. He has also been a state qualifier three times, while helping to lead his team to two conference championships and a sectional qualifier all four years.
Personal: A proposed business major at Southern, Schott is the son of Terry and Kimberly Schott.
