Men's cross country dominates and wins at Missouri S&T

Rolla, Mo. -- The tenth ranked Missouri Southern men's cross country team dominated today and took home the team title at the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted by Missouri S&T. 

The Lions finished with four in the top ten today and scored a total of 26 points overall.

Adrian Todd led a photo finish with teammate Eric Schott as the two finished second and third, respectively, separated by a mere .12 of a second. Andrew Webster finished fourth, just seven seconds back, while Jake Benton was seventh with a time of 25:22.60.

Colton Wooldridge placed 10th in a time of 25:33.73, while Ryan Jackson and Nathan Henry placed 19th and 26th, respectively. 

The Lions led second place Southwest Baptist by a margin of 26-40. Pittsburg State was third with 85 points, while Missouri S&T, Drury, Truman, Lindenwood, William Jewell, and Webster round out the team totals. 

The Lions will be back in action on Oct. 20 when Southern travels to Maryville to compete in the 2012 MIAA Championships hosted by Northwest Missouri.
