2012-2013: Outdoor: Ran the 1500 meter at the PSU Wendy's Invite in 4:08.47 taking 15th in a field of over 40 runners....Indoor: Ran on the Lions' fifth place DMR relay at the MIAA Championships running the opening leg as Southern finished in 10:33.83....Took sixth in the 3000 at the MSSU Open Invite finishing in 9:01.80... Ran on the winning 4x800 meter relay at the Missouri Invitational running 8:19.50 while also finishing 11th in the mile running 4:30.30...Ran the mile at the UCM Classic finishing ninth in 4:35.05. 

2011-12: Outdoor: Took fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase in 9:29.61 and ran the 5000m in 16:16.49 at the MIAA Championships ... Took second in the 1500 at the William/Leptad Invite in 4:06.73 ... Took third in the 5,000m at the Pitt State Gorilla Classic in 15:31.08 ... Took fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Emporia State in a time of 9:40.27 ... Took third in the 3,000m steeplechase at the PSU Wendy's Invite 9:58.11.....Indoor: Ran both the mile and 3,000m at the MIAA Championships where he ran times of 4:26.26 and 9:05.38 respectively ... ran the same events at the MSSU Invite where he won the mile in 4:27.13 and took third in the 3,000m in 8:58.4 ... ran the opening leg of the distance medlay relay that took second at the Lion Open.

2010-11: Outdoor: Finished 800m in 2:06.21 at the 3rd Annual Gorilla Classic...Indoor: Had his best finish of the season at the University of Arkansas where he placed 16th in the 6.6k race in a time of 22:40.80 ... Helped the Lions to a third place finish at the UCM Mule Run where he placed 23rd and a second place finish at the MIAA Championships where he placed 58th. 

In High School: Ran cross country and track for coach Ryan Kasten at Herculaneum High School. A three-time All-Conference selection in cross country, Mason was also a three-time All-District and two-time All-State selection, winning the district meet three times. He helped his team to three district and two state championships. On the track, Mason was an All-Conference selection in the 4x800, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m his first three years, and was the conference champ in each of the events this past season as a junior. He was an All-District selection in the 1600m and 4x800, while qualifying for sectionals in the 1600m. He also holds his school's freshman record for the 1600m with a time of 4:40
