In 2011: Lydia appeared in 37 games behind the plate for the Lions, starting in 35...finished second on the team in put outs with 237 and the best fielding percentage of .992 (237 PO, 23 assists, and two errors)...Niemegeers finished the season with two doubles, one home run, and five runs batted in.

At NEO: was a two sport star for the Lady Norse, helping both the softball and volleyball to second places in regionals (softball in 2009-10 & volleyball in 2009)...was also named first team All-region as a designated hitter in 2010.

In Canada: Earned provinvial gold medals in 5A Volleyball in 2007, 4A Basketball in 2008 as well as track and softball...In 2009 she was named softball player of the year in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and earned the same honors in 2008 in volleyball.
