In 2013: Making 24 appearances in the circle as a junior for the Lions, Pypes made 12 starts while going 8-8 on the year with a 4.01 ERA. Pitching 87.1 innings, Pypes threw five complete games. Also recorded a save in Southern's 9-8 victory over 14th ranked Forth Hays pitching the final 1.1 innings allowing only two hits. Held opponents to a .265 batting average while throwing 83 strikeouts. Threw a career-high 13 strikeouts in the Lions' final double-header of the season against Southwest Baptist making her just the fourth Lion pitcher to ever record that mark in a single game. In addition to pitching, Pypes also hit .306 from the plate with 22 hits in 72 at-bats scoring 11 runs while driving home nine runs. Had a season-high three hits, including a pair of doubles, and three RBI's in Southern's second game at Emporia State.

In 2012: In her first season as a pitcher for the Lions, Pypes led the Lions with a 3.28 ERA going 10-10 on the year with 10 complete games. Pitched a team-high 119.2 innings while giving up a team-low 90 hits. Struck out a team-high 108 batters. Held opponents to a team-low .210 batting average.

At Army: started 27 games in the circle for the Black Knights...finished the season with 19 complete games and a team best 3.10 ERA...stuck out 114 while allowing opponets to bat just .244...at the dish Pypes hit .303 with 30 hits and a team high 10 home runs...she finished the season with 24 RBIs and scoring 23 runs.

In High School: Three-time all-state pitcher from Missouri who was a first-team selection in 2008 and 2009 after garnering second team honors in 2007 ... played four years of varsity ball for Platte County H.S. ... four-time all-region, all-district and all-conference selection ... garnered three first-team all-district and all-region citations ... team MVP all four years ... led Platte County to the state tournament three straight years (2007-09), claiming the title in 2008 ... finished third in 2009 and fourth in 2007 ... placed second at the districts in 2006 ... also pitched for the Originals 18 Gold team in 2009 and the Peppers Gold squad last year ... - of the National Honor Society.
