In 2014: Goins earned All-MIAA honorable mention honors at catcher as a junior appearing in 45 games for the Lions making 40 starts as she hit .269 from the dish...Starting 35 games behind the plate, she collected 35 hits in 130 at-bats with eight doubles and a team-high seven home runs...Also scored 18 runs and drove in 24 RBI's while slugging .492%... Got especially hot in the MIAA season as she hit .338 in 24 MIAA games collecting 26 hits, six doubles, four home runs and totaled a team-best 44 bases...Recorded eight multi-hit MIAA games, going 3-for-3 with a RBI at Northeastern State on March 15...Drove in a season-high five runs in a win at home over Lindenwood hitting a grand slam...Also earned MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award and named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2013: Appearing in 39 games, with 38 starts at catcher as a sophomore for the Lions, Goins collected 19 hits on the year, including three doubles and a home run while driving in 14 runs and scoring 10. Was second on the team in put-outs with 192 while throwing out 11 runners on the basepaths.
Prior to Southern: Attended Seminole State in Seminole, Oklahoma for a year where she helped lead the Trojans to a runner-up finish in the NJCAA Region II tournament
In High School: A 2010 graduate of Van Buren High School in Van Buren, Ark., Goins was a four-year letterwinner in softball where she was a three-time all-conference and all-state selection, making the state all-tournament team in 2010. Set the single season school record for RBI's (28) and putouts (290), while setting school records for career hits (87), doubles (22), RBI's (66), total bases (133) and career catching caught stealing (42/67)
Personal: A mathematics major at Southern, Goins attended the University of Arkansas in 2010-11 as a student, but did not play softball....born February 1, 1992 ... daughter of Roger and Kathy Goins
