In 2014: Romines started 53 games as a senior for the Lions making 46 starts in right field and seven more at first base earning second-team All-MIAA honors for a second consecutive year...Hit .315 from the plate tying for the team lead with 30 runs scored while finishing second on the team in hits (53), at-bats (168), home runs (6), total bases (81) and RBI's (32)...Also totaled six doubles and two triples while slugging .482 and on-base percentage of .354...Started all 26 MIAA games hitting .353 leading the team in hits (30) while scoring 15 runs and driving in 18 RBI's and slugging .494%...Had a pair of three hit MIAA games at Pittsburg State and at home versus Nebraska-Kearney where she combined to go 6-for-9 with a home run and four RBI's in the two contests...Also went 4-for-4 with two home runs and a double, while driving in four runs and scored three runs in a win over Concordia St.-Paul at the Missouri Western Softball Tournament...Finished her career at Southern with 15 home runs, tied for fourth in program history, and 96 RBI's, leaving her three shy of reaching the top five in program history....Also named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2013: Starting all 50 games for the Lions in right field as a junior, Romines was named second-team All-MIAA on the year after leading Southern with a .364 batting average collecting a team-high 56 hits scoring 33 runs while hitting a team-high 13 doubles and seven home runs. Drove in a team-high 40 runs, while totaling a club-high 92 total bases on the year. Led the Lions with a team-high .597 slugging percentage. Drew a team-high 27 walks while leading the club with a team-high on-base percentage of .457. Would reach base in 42 of Southern's 50 contests recording 16 multi-hit games. Recorded home runs in six of Southern's first 15 games. Named the MIAA Player of the Week after helping the Lions win five of six games at the Five State Classic in Arkansas hitting .500 on the weekend going 10-for-20 from the plate smacking four home runs, a double, driving in 10 runs, while scoring nine runs and totaling 23 bases. She would drive in a season-high five runs in a 12-3 win over Illinois-Springfield with a three-run double and a two-run home run while going 4-for-5 with a double while scoring a pair of runs and driving in a run in a 11-8 win at Pittsburg State in eight innings.
In 2012: Appearing in all 51 games for the Lions as a sophomore, Romines made 48 starts at first base, while hitting .296 on the year with 42 hits while scoring 22 runs. Was second on the team in both slugging percentage at .380 and RBI's with 23, while being tied for second in home runs with two. Led the team with 256 putouts while having a strong fielding percentage of .989.
In 2011: Shelby saw action at both the plate and in the circle for Southern. At the dish Romines recorded 22 at-bats with three hits, one double, and one RBI. In the circle she made seven appearances with two starts in 9.2 innings pitched she struck out three.
In High School: was a four year starter and letter-winner for the Tigers...was also a four time All-Conference and All-District selecition for Coach Yancy Little...in 2008 was All-State pitcher selection...set school records of most games won, 58, and most games played, 123...finished second in Ozark High School history in most career assists, 309, most strikeouts, 430, career RBIs, 93, and lowest ERA, 1.30.
