Erin Rice named third team All-MIAA
Kansas City, Mo. -- Missouri Southern junior Erin Rice has been named third-team All-MIAA as voted on by the coaches of the MIAA, the league announced today.
Rice led the Lions this year in scoring with 14.9 points per game, while starting in all 26 games she played in. She shot 43 percent from the field and 31 percent from long range, while leading the Lions with 5.3 rebounds per contest.
She ranked fifth in the MIAA in scoring and 20th in rebounds, while ranking ninth in field goal percentage, tenth in free-throw percentage, and 13th in steals. She finished the season with three double-doubles and helped the Lions to a season ending win this past Saturday at Northwest Missouri, scoring 14 points.
