Women's basketball signs Dru Clark for 2014-15
Joplin, Mo. - Missouri Southern women's basketball interim head coach Ronda Hubbard has announced the signing of Dru Clark for the 2014-15 season.
Dru is a four-year starter at shooting guard at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Playing for coach Dustin Morrow, Clark enters her senior year this winter having seen her points per game average increase all three years playing for the Sandites. Averaging seven points per game as a freshman, Clark improved on that mark as a sophomore averaging 10 points per game while shooting 41% from field goal and three-point range. As a junior, she improved upon that mark to 15 points per game while hitting 39% from the field and 30% from three-point range.
The daughter of Derek Fix, who wrestled at Oklahoma State and Lona Clark-Shew, a heptathlete at Arkansas, Dru plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.
Coach Hubbard loves how Dru plays the game, "Dru is an outstanding addition to our team. She really plays the game with the intensity that fans love to watch. Dru is a fiery competitor and will definitely help our perimeter shooting."
