Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern Women's Soccer squad (7-9-1, 6-2 MIAA) sent their seven seniors out in style today with a 3-0 victory over future MIAA foe, Lindenwood University (8-6-3).
Senior Shannon Kuhn got the Lions off to a fast start scoring in the 14th minute off a free kick from junior Corinne Tebbs. The pair would then connect again for a second goal in the 36th minute to give Southern the 2-0 halftime lead.
Freshman Katelyn Roberson got in on the scoring in the second half at the 78th minute off an assist from sophomore Kelly Whtie.
Missouri Southern will be back in action Thursday November 3 as they travel to the MIAA Post-season tournament at UMKC. The Lions will be the 3 seed and take on the 6 seed, Southwest Baptist University at 3pm.
