Joplin, Mo.- The Missouri Southern Lions soccer team fell 2-0 Friday night to Southern Nazarene University in their home opener at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
Senior Megan Stueve led the Lions with Lions with five shots, while goalies Beth Hammons and Abby Risner combined to make three saves. Scoring in the 38th minute on a penalty kick, Ericka Ramirez notched the first goal of the night for the SNU. Bekah Stewart added a goal later in the 80th minute for the 2-0 win.
The Lions return to action Sunday afternoon when they take on the Abilene Christian University Wildcats at noon at Fred G. Hughes Stadium
