2013: Starting all 16 games at midfielder for the Lions as a sophomore, Altvater recorded two assists on the year...Registered an assist on Southern's lone goal at Nebraska-Kearney and also recorded an assist on a goal by Kelly White in the season finale against Northwest Missouri...Had five shots on the year, one on goal, for a .200 shot-on-goal percentage. 

2012: Appearing in all 18 games at midfielder for the Lions as a freshman with 15 starts, Altvater recorded three points on the year notching a goal and an assist...Scored the Lions first goal of the season in the 32nd minute of a 2-2 tie at Missouri-St. Louis...Recorded her first career assist on the Lion's first goal of a 3-0 win at home over Nebraska-Kearney...Finished seventh on the team in shots with 12 recording seven on goal for a .583 shot-on-goal percentage.

In High School: Altvater was a four year starter at outside middle defender for Coach Jackie Haller and the Bulldogs of Kearney (Missouri) High School.  While on the pitch at KHS, Michaela earned All-District honorable mention honors in 2009, three second team All-Conference nods in 2009-11, and two second team All-District nods (2010-11).  During her senior year Michaela also earned All-District honors for Cross Country and was selected as the Cross Country team captain, while leading the Lady Bulldogs to conference, district, and state championships.  She played for the Kansas City Futbol Club Heat Soccer helping them to a State Cup finalist in 2009 and then a State Cup Championship and a third place finish at regionals in 2010. 

Personal: Michaela is the daughter of Steve and Mickie Altvater and has two siblings, Mackenzie and Tommie.  She is currently undecided on her major at Missouri Southern.
