2013 - Appeared in 13 games at defender for the Lions as a freshman...Notched one assist on the season on Karley Thomas' game-winning goal against #11 Central Missouri that snapped the Jennies 48-match MIAA unbeaten streak....Tied for eighth on the team in shots with 11 with seven on goal for a .636 shot-on-goal percentage.
Prior to Southern - A four-year letterwinner at Kearney High School playing outside defender for the Bulldogs, Cecil capped her senior year in 2013 with first-team all-conference honors while also claiming first-team all-district honors, All-Kansas City honors and second-team all-state. Helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place showing at the state tournament while winning the conference championship and also claiming the district and sectional championships. Helped the Bulldogs earn the district championship as a junior while being a three-time all-conference honorable mention selection as a freshman, sophomore and junior. Was a two-time second-team all-district selection as a sophomore and junior and honorable mention as a freshman. As a sophomore, Cecil earned the Kearney Athletic Achievement Spirit Award. Also played basketball in high school where she was a three-year letterwinner.
Club Soccer - Played outside defender with Viati '95 where she helped lead them to the Missouri State Cup Championship in 2012 while being a three-time finalist in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Was a four-year qualifier to the Midwest Regional League Premier Division Qualifier from 2010-2013.
Personal - A Biology major at Southern...the daughter of Michael and Lisa Cecil...Attended the same high school as Southern teammate Michaela Altvater.
