Women's track ends successful weekend with provisional in DMR

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team wrapped up a successful weekend with a strong finish in the distance medley relay at the Tyson Invitational at the University of Arkansas today. 

Ashley Bunch ran the opening 1200 meter segment in a time of 3:39.61, while Cyarra Prince followed that up with an 400 meter in a time of 1:00.33. Carita Riutta ran the 800 meter leg in a time of 2:15.97, while Courtney Waltbillig ran the anchor 1600 meter leg in a time of 5:05.60. 

The total time of 12:01.49 is a provisional mark and is the top time in the MIAA this year, while ranking 8th-best in Division II. 

Southern will be back in action next weekend with a trip to Central Missouri to compete in the Mule Relays.
