Lloyd, Mieseler pace Lions at ESU Relays

Emporia, Kan. - Chanell Lloyd placed in the top 7 in three different events as the Missouri Southern women's track and field team competed at the State Farm/Emporia State Relays today.

Lloyd placed first in the 100 meter hurdles with a provisional time of 14.55, while placing seventh in the long jump and second in the triple jump. Her distance of 39-08.75 in the triple is an NCAA provisional and just shy of an automatic. 

Mieseler was second in the hammer with a provisional distance of 169-03 and was the top collegiate mark in that event, while placing third in the shot put with a distance of 40 feet even and was the top d-2 mark in that event. 

Kiley Jones was second in the discus with the top d-2 mark and a provisional distance of 152-08, while Jill Weeks was sixth in the javelin. 

The Lions will be in action next weekend taking part in the John McDonnell Invitational at the University of Arkansas.
