Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team has qualified 10 individuals for the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, NC.
The event will take place on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University on May 27-29.
Kimi Shank leads the Lions contingent as she has qualified in both the 5k and 10k. She ranks eighth nationally in the 10k and 14th in the 5k.
Channell Lloyd is another multiple qualifier for the Lions as she qualfied ninth in the triple jump and 14th in the 100m hurdles.
Both Ciara Lipsey (pole vault) and Emilie Mieseler (hammer throw) rank fourth nationally in their respective events.
Courtney Waltbillig qualified in the 1,500 meters, while Ashley Bunch ranks 10th in the 3k steeplechase. Lisa Vengels ranks fifth in the high jump with her jump of 1.77 meters, while Nicole Green ranks ninth in the shot put and Kylie Jones ranks 10th in the discus.
