
Charlotte, NC -- Nicole Green (shot put), Kimi Shank (5k) and Ciara Lipsey (pole vault) all earned All-American honors in the final day of the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Johnson C. Smith University.
Shank broke her own previous record in the 5k to finish eighth with a time of 16:41.95. Her previous school record was set at this year's MIAA Championships where she ran a time of 16:46.93. She earned All-American honors for her effort.
Lipsey earned another All-American honor in the pole vault as she cleared 12-02.75 to finish seventh in the event.
Green was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 47-01.50 to earn All-American honors.
In other events, Ashley Bunch placed 10th in the steeplechase, while Courtney Waltbillig was 11th in the 1,500 meters. Kylie Jones was 16th in the discus and Channell Lloyd placed 17th in the triple jump.
The Lions finished 24th as a team with 11.5 points. Angelo State took home the National Championship.
