Springfield, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women's cross country team raced at the Missouri State/Richard Clark Cross Country Invitational today in Springfield.
The race consisted of all Division I schools and just Missouri Southern as the lone Division II and as such, the Lions were not awarded any team points as Missouri State wanted to keep the meet purely Division I.
Silvia Pineda finished with a time of 18:49.17, which would have been good enough for 27th. Nicole French finished with a time of 20:07.05, while Victoria Kline ran the course in a time of 20:18.64. Katie Schmidt finished in 20:29.12, while Maggie Tennal ran in 20:31.56 and Olga Bulgurova ran a time of 20:45.57.
The Lions will be back in action on October 16 when Southern competes at the Chili Pepper Invitational at the University of Arkansas.
