2011-2012: Indoor: Took seventh in the pentathlon at the MIAA Championships with 3,213 points, while running 8.14 in the 60m and 9.18 in the 60m hurdles ... Took ninth in the long jump at the UCM Classic with a jump of 5.01m (16-05.25) while also running the 60m in 8.01 ... Took third in the long jump with a jump of 5.22m (17-01.5) and took fifth in the 60m hurdles in 9.29 ... Took sixth in the long jump at the Lion Open in 5.24m (17-02.25)... Outdoor: Scored 4,150 points, including a fourth-place finish in the javelin, in the heptahlon at the MIAA Championships; in addition competed in  long jump (5.24m) and the 400m hurdles (1:10.10) ... Took second in the heptathlon at the Emporia State Multis recording 4,108 points ... Took second in the long jump at the PSU Wendy's Invite with a jump of 5.44m (17-10.25), while taking fifth in the 100m hurdles in 15.71...      

Prior to Southern: Attended Neosho High School and ran for coach Harry Lineberry. A four-year letterwinner in trrack, Paullus also lettered in cross country one season. She was an All-Conference and All-District pick, while winning the conference title in the triple jump in 2008 and picked up All-Conference, All-District and All-Sectional honors in 2009. In 2010, she was once again All-Conference and All-District, while picking up a district title in the hurdles and earned the most field event points in the sectionals that season. She helped her track team to conference and district championships in 2008-10, while helping the cross country team to qualify for the state meet in 2009.

Personal: The daughter of Jeff and Angie Paullus, Emily plans to major in secondary education at Southern.
