2011-2012: Cross Country: Helping lead the Lions to a runner-up finish, Tennal took 28th at the MIAA Championships covering the 6k course in a time of 23:06.34.....ran at the South Central Regional Championships where she took 88th running the 6k in a time of 24:13.3....took 31st at the Jackling Jocks Invite where she ran the 5k course in 19:53....
2010-11: Outdoor: At Bill Williams/Bob Laptab (4/29/11) Maggie qualified in the 1500m with a time of 5:03.25...Ran the 3000 steeple race in 12:01.87 and qualified at John McDonnell Invitational (4/22/11)...Indoor: At the MIAA Conference Championships (2/25/11) Tennal qualified in the mile race with a time of 5:28.88...Ran a qualifying time of 11:18.58 in the 3k at MSSU Radio Shack Open Invite (2/18/11)...Cross Country: Tennal raced in five events for the Lions as a freshman ... her top 5k time of the year came at the Southern Stampede where she finished in a time of 20:14.25, and her top 6k time came at the MIAA Championships with a time of 23:32.20.
High School: participated in both cross country and track and field for coaches Rodney Baldridge and Toby Luce at Lamar High School. Tennal earned All-State honors and placed sixth at the 2009 Missouri Class 2 State Cross Country meet. She has a personal best of 5:42 in the 1600 meters, as well as a time of 19:57 in the 5k, and 12:15 in the 3200 meters. The daughter of Douglas and Christine Tennal, Maggie hopes to major in business at Southern.
