Cornman picks up provisional in final day of Tyson invite

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern women's track and field team competed in day two of the Tyson Invitational today. 

Kylie Cornman picked up a big provisional in the shot put as she placed 13th with a provisional mark of 47-08.5. The distance ranks sixth in Division II this season and is tops in the MIAA. 

Jasmin Hughes was 68th in the 200m, while the distance medley relay team of Kaitlyn Belisle, Hughes, Sydney Potts and Rachel Schrader came up with a big provisional and placed fourth in the event. They traversed the distance in a time of 11:56.60 which ranks sixth in Division II and is the top time in the MIAA. 

Southern will be back in action next Friday, taking part in the Central Missouri Invite at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
