Haase picks up a provisional in the pole vault at PSU

Pittsburg, Kan. -- Missouri Southern junior pole vaulter Sydney Haase picked up a win and a provisional as the women's track and field team competed at the Wendy's/PSU open this weekend at Pittsburg State University. 

Haase jumped to a height of 11-10.5, picking up a provisional in the process and she currently ranks seventh in Division II and first in the MIAA. Melanie Bower was third in the event, while Ashleigh McFarland placed fifth. 

Brittani Reagan placed second in the long jump with a distance of 18-7, while Taitum Mead, Kaylee Morgan and Shelby Newell placed 5th, 6th and 9th, respectively in the event. 

Emily Weldin was 11th in the 400m, while Addie Mengwasser placed 6th in the 1,500m. JeAnna Sheppard was sixth in the 100m hurdles, while Jackie Wallace and Morgan placed 9th and 11th. 

Whitney Hardy placed second in the high jump with a height of 5-5.75, while Shelby Sutherland was sixth and Taylor Alumbaugh, Morgan and Emily Paullus placed 6th, 11th, 12th and 15th. 

Reagan picked up a provisional and a fourth place finish in the triple jump hitting a distance of 39-8.75, while Newell was sixth and Mahogany Jones placed 10th. 

The Lions will be back in action next Saturday as they take part in the Emporia State Invite.
