Morgan and Reagan pick up All-American honors in long jump at NCAA Championships

Pueblo, Colo. -- Missouri Southern freshman jumpers Kaylee Morgan and Brittani Reagan both earned All-American honors in the long jump today in day one of the 2013 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Colorado State - Pueblo. 

Morgan picked up a jump of 19-06.75 in her second attempt and is just five inches under her school record she set late in the year. She finished fifth overall.

Reagan jumped 19-03.50 in her first attempt of the event, placing eighth. That mark is her second-best of the season, eight inches shorter than her top mark set in the MSSU Last Chance Meet. 

In other action, junior Sydney Haase placed tenth in the pole vault with a height of 12-01.50. The height is her second-highest mark this season, just four inches below her high that was set at the MIAA Championships. Sophomore Ashleigh McFarland failed to reach a height in the event. 

Reagan will be back in action tomorrow with the triple jump.
