Des Moines, Iowa -- Missouri Southern freshman Brittani Reagan and Kaylee Morgan both competed at the United States Track and Field Junior Outdoor Championships this past weekend in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake University.
Reagan competed in the triple jump where the Bentonville, Ark. native finished seventh with a jump of 38-11.50. She hit that mark in her final leap of the afternoon. Reagan opened the event up at 38-5.00, and fouled on her next three jumps. She hit a mark of 36-6.00, before hitting her final mark of 38-11.50 in her last attempt. She was the only Division II athlete in the event to qualify and was among a group of Division I and independent track club athletes.
Morgan finished in ninth in the long jump where the Carthage native hit a distance of 17-10.75. She was just an inch and a half from qualifying for the finals in the event.
Both athletes were All-American's in their respective events this past year and will come into the 2014 season ranked amongst the top jumpers in all of Division II.
