Lions fall, 3-1 at Southwest Baptist

Bolivar, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team dropped a four-set match at Southwest Baptist on Saturday. 

Southern (4-15, 2-5 MIAA) won the first set, but SBU (8-13, 3-5 MIAA) came back to win the final three sets. 

The Lions were led offensively by 16 kills from Casey Ball as Rachel Olinyk added seven and Katie Politte had nine of her own. Sydney Potts and Elin Skei had 22 and 17 assists, respectively, while Skei added 10 assists. Katie Collins had 21 digs, while Rocky Crook had 18. 

Southern will be back in action this Tuesday evening playing host to Missouri Western at 7 pm from Young Gymnasium.
