Southern volleyball falls 3-1 at Truman State

Kirksville, Mo. - The Missouri Southern volleyball team dropped the first two sets and the defense held strong in a third set win, but Truman State won the fourth and final set to take the match three sets to one. Individual set scores were 10-25, 17-25, 25-19 and 18-25. 

Southern (4-17, 2-7 MIAA) was led offensively by Katie Politte as the freshman had a team-high nine kills. Elin Skei and Danielle Severns had eight kills each, while Skei added 11 digs and Sydmey Potts had 26 assists. Rocky Crook had a team-high 18 digs. 

Truman (15-9, 4-4 MIAA) was led by Megan Sharpe and Allie Brak as the pair had 13 kills each. Kylie Ealson had 29 assists and Abby Moser added 26 digs. 

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow with a match at Northwest Missouri.
