Southern women's cross country to compete at Oklahoma State Jamboree

Joplin, Mo. --  The Missouri Southern women's cross country team will be in action this Saturday as the Lions travel to Stillwater, Okla. to compete in the Oklahoma State University Jamboree.

Southern is coming off a close loss to Pittsburg State in a dual between the two teams last week. Junior Marlee Tegenkamp, however, was the top collegiate performer and earned MIAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week this past week.

The Lions slipped a little in both the regional and national polls this week as Southern sits at No. 20 nationally, down four spots from last week. MSSU is still the No. 4 ranked team in the South Central Region, though, as Midwestern State continues to hold on to the top spot. Truman is ranked second, followed by Pitt State, Southern, Northwest Missouri, Harding, Southwest Baptist, East Central, Dallas Baptist and Incarnate Word.
