Belisle finishes in sixth as Lions open cross country season at Arkansas
Fayetteville, Ark. -- Missouri Southern junior Kaitlyn Belisle placed sixth as the Missouri Southern women's cross country team hooked up with Arkansas tonight in a season-opening duel for the two schools.
Belisle traversed the 4k course in a time of 14:55.3, just 16 seconds off the leader's pace. Emily Harris was tenth with a time of 15:13.6, while Marlee Tegenkamp placed 13th at 15:19. Lauren Baehr was 15th, while Cassy Kendrick, Addie Mengwasser and Jet Hovis placed 17th-19th.
Arkansas finished with 16 team points, while the Lions had 46.
The Lions will be back in action on September 15 running in the First to the Finish Southern Stampede.
