Women's cross country finishes third at Missouri S&T

Rolla, Mo. -- The 17th ranked Missouri Southern women's cross country team finished third today at the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted by Missouri S&T. 

Kaitlyn Belisle led the charge for the Lions as she placed sixth with a time of 18:05.29. Marlee Tegenkamp was tenth in a time of 18:18.91, while Lauren Baehr placed 14th in a time of 18:32.58. Cassy Kendrick was 22nd with a time of 18:50.33, while Addie Mengwasser and Jet Hovis placed 25th and 38th, respectively. Kelsie Hutsell placed 52nd. 

Southwest Baptist took the team title with 60 points and Pittsburg State narrowly edged the Lions with 71 points to Southern's 72. Drury was third, while Truman, Lindenwood, Missouri S&T, Lincoln and Webster rounded out the field. 

The Lions will be back in action on Oct. 20 competing in the 2012 MIAA Championships hosted by Northwest Missouri.
