2013 - Kirby ran in all six races for the Lions as a true freshman...Was the Lions fifth finisher at the Central Regional Championship in Sioux Falls, S.D., running the 6k course in a time of 23:37.88 to finish 105th overall...Finished 53rd overall at the MIAA Championships hosted in Pittsburg, Kan., completing the 6k course in a time of 23:49.60...Helped the Lions finish third as a team at the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted by Missouri S&T finishing 18th overall running the 5k course in a time of 19:24.86...Finished 132nd overall at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas finishing the 5k course in a time of 19:59.3...Was the Lions fourth finisher at the Southern Stampede helping Southern finish third as a team as she finished 32nd overall completeing the 5k in a time of 18:54.18...Ran 15:54 in the season-opening 4k double-dual at Arkansas.

Prior to Southern - A 2013 graduate of California High School, Kirby was a three-year letterwinner in cross country while being a four-year letterwinner on the track. A three-time all-district selection in cross country, Kirby was both the district champion as well as earning the tri-country conference champion as a senior in 2012. Also as a senior, Kirby helped the Pintos win the Tri-Country Conference Championship along with the district championships. Kirby also earned two all-state selections in cross country finishing 5th and 21st. On the track, she set school records in the two mile, the 5000 meter and the 4x800 meter relay while being named all-district and all-sectional in the 3200 meter.

Personal - The daughter of Joe and Gwen Kirby, Lizzy is undecided on her major at Southern...Father Joe holds the 5000 meter outdoor record at the University of Nebraska....has two younger siblings Sam and Sarah...born December 3, 1994.
