Leshinski is in his first season as the assistant soccer
coach under Alese Woolard, bringing a wealth of experience to
Southern after having worked at both the high school and collegiate
Spending 14 of the last 15 years as a high school coach in both Texas and Arkansas, Leshinski won a state championship in 2006 at Rogers High School in Arkansas earning NSCAA Arkansas Coach of the Year honors along the way. Getting his start in high school coaching in 1998, Leshinski stepped away from the prep ranks for a year in 2003 when he was an assistant men's soccer coach at the University of Dubuque (Iowa) before returning to coach high school. In addition to his high school coaching background, he has also coached club teams in Texas and Arkansas and was a staff coach with the Arkansas Olympic Development Program.
Holding a Premier Diploma and Level III National Goalkeeper Diploma through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), Leshinski will be responsible for assisting in all phases of the games along with helping with recruiting.
A native of Dallas, Texas Leshinski grew up playing playing club soccer and attended the University of North Texas where he earned a Bachelors of Psychology in 1996 and a Masters in Education Administration in 2001. Married to his wife Susan, Leshinski enjoys traveling, writing, and participating in triathlons in his free time.
